Abstract This article presents a conceptualisation of children’s participation rights based on Miranda Fricker’s epistemic injustice. Drawing research conducted in secondary school the UK, applies framework, particular her concepts testimonial and hermeneutical injustice, to explain some reasons for adults’ disquiet around rights. concept injustice explains how prejudice about social group results deflated attributions credibility their views opinions.
